The following requirements must be fulfilled in order to be eligible for the one-day Standard First Aid & CPR Level C + AED Recertification.

1) Prior certificate is still valid.
2) Prior certificate wasn’t renewed. The Standard First Aid program can only be recertified once. You must finish the two-day program if your prior certificate was renewed. You can complete the one-day re-certification when you return to recertify.
3) The same supplier must re-certify your prior certificate.

This program duration is 1 day and is valid for 3 years. Following successful completion of the training, each participant will receive a certificate and a First Aid & CPR Manual.

Level C is used to teach all CPR courses, which includes (Adult, Child, Infant)

Participant Requirement

We recommend that the participants wear comfortable clothing and they may want to bring a blanket/towel as they will be required to do some work on the floor (first aid & CPR courses). Please contact our office if you require additional details.

PROGRAM CONTENTS INCLUDE:

  • Recognize the program’s goal and the First Aider’s role.
  • Learn how to use the four stages of emergency scene management to handle a medical emergency.
  • Talk about the reasons why people might be reluctant to provide first aid, such as lack of training, legal concerns, and personal safety.
  • Identify and manage various states of consciousness, such as fainting.
  • Identify and manage shock.
  • Identify and address both small and major bleeding, including as amputations, internal bleeding, and embedded items.
  • Identify and manage illnesses such as diabetes, heart attacks, strokes, asthma, seizures, and allergies.
  • To deal with a cardiac emergency, use the Survival Links.
  • Identify and address burns.
  • Perform CPR on adults, children, and infants.
  • Identify unconscious choking and treat it.
  • Give examples of how to operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in various situations.
  • Talk about how to maintain an AED.
  • Know when and how to transport the casualty if necessary, and be able to identify head and spinal injuries.
  • The two-step “5 x 5” rescue technique can be used to identify and treat choking.
