Emergency First Aid & CPR Level C + AED certification course offers a passionate, enjoyable, and efficient method of teaching CPR and First Aid. Compliant with WSIB Regulation 1101, this course is ideal for students and anyone pursuing certification in First Aid and CPR, as well as for occupational requirements.

This program duration is 1 day and is valid for 3 years. Following successful completion of the training, each participant will receive a certificate and a First Aid & CPR Manual.

Level C is used to teach all CPR courses, which includes (Adult, Child, Infant)

Participant Requirement

We recommend that the participants wear comfortable clothing and they may want to bring a blanket/towel as they will be required to do some work on the floor (first aid & CPR courses). Please contact our office if you require additional details.

PROGRAM CONTENTS INCLUDE:

  • Recognize the program’s goal and the First Aider’s role.
  • Learn how to use the four stages of emergency scene management to handle a medical emergency.
  • Talk about the reasons why people might be reluctant to provide first aid, such as lack of training, legal concerns, and personal safety.
  • Identify and manage various states of consciousness, such as fainting.
  • Identify and manage shock.
  • Identify and address both small and major bleeding, including as amputations, internal bleeding, and embedded items.
  • Identify and manage illnesses such as diabetes, heart attacks, strokes, asthma, seizures, and allergies.
  • To deal with a cardiac emergency, use the Survival Links.
  • Identify and address burns.
  • Perform CPR on adults, children, and infants.
  • Identify unconscious choking and treat it.
  • Give examples of how to operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in various situations.
  • Talk about how to maintain an AED.
  • Know when and how to transport the casualty if necessary, and be able to identify head and spinal injuries.
  • The two-step “5 x 5” rescue technique can be used to identify and treat choking.
